Kim LePage

Kim Ann LePage, 62, of Fargo, ND, passed away October 31, 2020 at Sanford Hospice House after a 15-month battle with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). She was born in Crookston, MN, October 23, 1958 to Frank and Ann Marquette. As a young lady, she enjoyed art, drawing, and barrel racing on her horse Cocoa. She graduated from Eden Prairie High School in 1977, and went on to business school to become a legal secretary. She married Tom LePage and they had two girls, Sarah and Alisha. When they divorced, Kim and the girls moved to Fargo, ND, to be closer to her parents. After working as a legal secretary for many years, she decided to go back to school at Minnesota State University Moorhead to become a graphic designer. She worked at local ad agencies before she started her company Jubae Design and was her own boss. She married Darwin Briss and he was a great step-father to Sarah and Alisha. They were married for 12 years. Kim was rebaptized as an adult at Bethel Church. She was involved in a knitting group at the church and enjoyed bringing her granddaughters, Ashlyn and Ella, to Awana on Wednesday nights. She also loved Middle Eastern dance and music. She made some really wonderful friends through dance and had fun traveling around the country for dance workshops. Kim was active in restoring and selling modern and vintage dance costumes online and made many friends through Bhuz and Facebook. She brought her daughters on many family trips when they were younger; a favorite travel spot was the North Shore of Lake Superior, where many happy memories were made. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was grateful that we all lived so close. She enjoyed gardening, reading, decorating, playing games, and family get-togethers. Everyone who knew her will remember her as a courageous, amazing, and hilarious woman who brought joy to others with her kind and generous heart. Kim is survived by her daughters Sarah (Luke) Rustad of Fargo, ND, and Alisha (Chris Tuders) Stevens of Moorhead, MN; parents Frank and Ann Marquette of Moorhead, MN; brother Bruce (Lonnie) Marquette of Little Falls, MN; nieces and nephews Kate (Mitch) Elliscu of Carver, MN, and Franklin and Madison Marquette of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren Reece and Paige Rustad of Fargo, ND, and Ashlyn and Ella Stevens of Moorhead, MN; ex-husbands Tom LePage of Las Vegas, NV and Darwin Briss of Fargo, ND; and many other beloved aunts, uncles and cousins and so many friends. She was preceded in death by beloved son-in-law Tony Stevens, her grandparents, and other loved family members and friends. Her private graveside service will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery. It will be officiated by Jonas Bundy of Bethel Church.
