  3. I just recently met Kimberly when she stopped by St. Anthony’s this past Friday. Such an intelligent woman, we talked for two hours of our ups & downs in life & how to survive in this me-me culture !! She had more common sense than most & a good heart 🫶
God called her home & she said she was ready. May she finally rest in peace 🕊️

    • My deepest sympathy to Kim’s family. I met Kim at Roosevelt Elementary School in Fargo. She was endlessly funny, curious, kind and a little mischievous. I had a lot of fun with Kim as a child and will always fondly remember her. I didn’t meet her children but when I saw her after they were born she gushed with pride. Her parents, brother and sister were always kind to me as a child.

  4. You were always hilarious, caring, and beautifully unique, Kim. Wishing you peace. May God’s warmth surround your family and friends as we mourn the loss of you. Love you Kim.

  6. Every head bowed
    Every heart filled with pain
    Silence echoed loudly as
    Your beautiful wings were gained.

    And the tears did fall
    From the heavens like rain
    On the daythat the angels
    Softly sang your name.

    Kim,
I just want to say that I love you like my own sister. You were a part of my life since I was 15.

  8. Thinking of the kindness that Kim showed me and my family. Several occasions really stand out. Like the time she helped me with the tractor and trailer, we must have mowed twenty jobs that day. She gave me the confidence I needed to carry on. Special place in heaven for you, Kim. Sending love and peace to you and your family.

  9. Amanda, Niki and Angel,

  12. May God hold you close at this time. Kim is at peace with The One who made her and sent her to earth. She was so kind hearted, and she loved her kids. Right now, there’s little comfort to be found. Just know that there are lots of friends holding you close in our thoughts. Love to you – from Judy & Harold Thompsen

  13. I’m so sorry to hear of Kim’s passing. It brings tears to my eyes.
I’ve known Kim for over 45 years and have many wonderful memories of her. Kim was always so kind to me and always brought a smile to my face.
Her life, full of its challenges, never kept her from being kind and caring.
You’re at peace now, Kim. Fly high and run free.
You will forever be remembered and missed.

  14. Kimmy. Words can not express how my heart breaks right now. If it wasn’t for you last summer I would not be here today. I hope and pray you ate at peace My friend. God speed. Krissy. Kris Bjerke

  15. Our sincere condolences to the Hawkins family and to Kim’s family. May God wrap his arms around you and comfort you.

  16. I have so many memories of Kim and her family going back so many years! I loved her birthday sleepovers, the shared goofy antics, laughing until we cried, impressions of comedians, our love of great music and our shared friendships with so many people! I will remember you always dear Kim. I pray your family finds peace. You will always have a place in my heart.

  17. I just can’t believe this or understand your passing. We we friends since like 1st grade and attended the same church. We went on to graduate together. I was there for your marriage to Jim. I experienced Chad’s motorcycle accident and the trauma from that. You were always a crazy gal living on the edge. I will not judge. I hope you just pass on over to a better place. Love you Kim

  18. I met Kimberly on Saturday evening (27th) as I was walking around St. Mary’s Cathedral. She had found a place to rest there, so I stopped and we chatted for a few minutes. She was interested to know how old I was to see if I was the same age as any of her children, and if I perhaps had been in school with them. She listed their ages to me, and I fall between two of them. She told me that she grew up going to church across the street with her parents, but she sometimes snuck over to St. Mary’s when they wouldn’t know! She was a Fargo girl on the move, and expressed her gratitude to me multiple times for stopping to chat, for having a spot to rest for the moment, for the kindness of the others she met before I passed her way. I left her, impressed by her thankfulness and care for her family, and encouraged to be more generous myself. I keep her in my prayers. Eternal rest grant unto Kim, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.

  19. Barb – my heart breaks for you. I can’t imagine the sorrow and pain you are experiencing. Please know I am thinking of you.
