Lana Kay Frye, age 51, of West Fargo,North Dakota, formerly of Millington and Flint Michigan, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Sanford Hospital. A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in Michigan at Flushing County Park. A private burial will be held on July 11, 2022, at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 9th from 1PM until 5PM with a ceremony conducted at 1:30. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Lana’s favorite charities; the Humane Society or Breast Cancer Research.

Lana was born December 16, 1970, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Tommy and Laurali (Dunbar) Frye. She attended Millington and Flint High Schools. After meeting her husband (soul mate) Jack Christopher online, Lana moved to North Dakota in 2003. Jack and Lana were to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary next year.

Lana was the kindest soul; she hated to see anyone hurting. She loved to read, write poems, study the Bible and travel. Jack, Lana and their fur baby Harley traveled all over this great country. Going to many state and national parks and many point of interests, as well as 175 ‘DDD’ restaurants. She even met Guy Fieri at Nye’s Polonaise Room, and Gwen Stefani in Las Vegas. Even though Lana was in a wheelchair Jack made sure Lana could go wherever she wanted to see the beauty of this country. One of her lifelong goals was to pass her GED, she had been studying diligently and was prepared to take the test this year.

Surviving: Husband of 19 years Jack Christopher; Siblings: Laura (Mike) Kiggins, Thomas (Teresa) Frye, Tracey (Steve) Rider, Angela Frye; Nieces and Nephews: Michelle (Jason) Webb, Casey (Jennifer) Brock, Jenna Brander, Anthony Brander. Heather (Jimmy) Sands, Eric Sands, Adam (Brittany) Rider, Megan (Ryan) Garrett; Great Nieces and Nephews: Michael, Cheyenne (Daniel) Bowden, Johnmark, Casey Jr, Luca, Ellie, Azaria, Amira, Ayden, Keegan, Ethan, Chloe, Elijah and Annistyn; Mother-in-law: Nancy (John) Hillerud; Sister-in-law: Kay (Bill) Duckworth.

She is preceded in passing by her parents Tommy and Laurali Frye and her beloved pug Harley Davidson.

We did not meet personally but you considered me as your friend and I am truly thankful for that. No more pain Lana, smile and play with Harley now, you are going to be missed very much.   15. I met Lana on Facebook and sent her a message to become friends because we both had pugs. She was the sweetest and nicest person I’ve ever come across on Facebook and always positive when faced with hospital stays. I was so sad to hear of her passing. R.I.P. Lana you are deeply missed.
