Laura Williams-Jaffe, 56, Fargo, died Friday, February 6, 2009. Laura was born to James and Gladys Williams on November 6, 1952, in Fargo, ND. She attended St. Anthony?s Elementary School and graduated from Shanley High School. She attended North Dakota State University and Minnesota State University. For most of her adult life she lived and worked in North Carolina and Tennessee. Laura met Paul Jaffe of Eads, Tennessee on September 9, 1992, and they were married on March 13, 2003. Laura was the ninth of ten children. She loved her family and found great joy in spending time with her many nieces and nephews. Laura was athletic and could play tennis, snow ski, and water ski with little effort. As a child she could run faster than most friends, and was the one girl picked to be on the boys? team for Starlight, Moonlight. Laura was the family photographer taking pictures at each family gathering. She would organize visits to allow family members to come together. She also had a terrific memory and could remember past events in detail. Laura enjoyed tending her garden and also took pleasure in giving beautiful flower arrangements for special occasions. She had a taste for color and design, and she loved to shop. She treasured the many trips she took with family and especially enjoyed the beach. Laura is survived by six sisters, Jean (James) Wold of Fargo, Kathy (Bud) McCroskey of Fargo, Peggy (Doug) Antonelli of Raleigh, NC, Joan (Larry) Schuh of Fargo, Jane (Larry) LaMont of Edina, MN, Debbie (Rob) Hinderliter of Franklin, TN, two brothers, Gregory (Denise) Williams of Fargo, and Michael (Susan) Williams of Fargo, and 26 nieces and nephews. Laura was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jim Williams. Laura?s heart was within every thing she did for family and friends. The beauty of her spirit is reflected in the lives she touched. She is our beloved sister, aunt, and friend. Foremost, Laura is a child of God resting in his eternal glory. Memorials are preferred to Valley Water Rescue and the Salvation Army. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 on Thursday, February 12 at St. Anthony?s Catholic Church, Fargo.
