Lauree LaDean (Ernst) Miller, age 53, Fargo, ND, passed away Tuesday, November 23rd 2021, in Sanford Hospital, surrounded by her parents, Chaplain, and nurses. Born August 4, 1968, at St Ansgar's Hospital, Moorhead MN to Dennis and Mary Ann (Pender) Ernst. She attended Barnesville Atkinson Elementary and High School, graduating in 1986. She married John Miller, March of 2000 in Fargo ND. They lived in Hunter, then moved to their farm south of Hillsboro, ND, where they had one son. Later she lived in numerous facilities, and apartments. Lauree graduated with honors from a 4 year newly started program between MSU and Moorhead State Technical. She later went on for additional education in Santa Barbara CA. During college, she worked at a bank, after college for Frasier Tax Office, Dakota Truck, MaxTech, Fargo, and finally Alton Grain Terminal, Hillsboro, ND. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church Sabin, MN, and attended Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, ND. Survivors are her son, Sean Miller, La Crosse WI, parents, Dennis and Mary Ann Ernst, Barnesville MN, her brother, Darin Ernst, Wahpeton, ND, two nephews, Dustin Ernst, Barnesville, MN, Cody Ernst, West Fargo ND, one niece Lacey Johnson, (Cody) Moorhead, MN. She was preceded in death by her son’s father, Pastor John Miller, and her grandparents, Raymond Pender, Baker MN, Myrtle Pender, who later moved to Moorhead MN, Norman and Ellen Ernst, both of Barnesville MN. A Celebration of Life, Saturday, January 8th 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Mainline in Downer MN. The Open House is for friends, relatives, neighbors and classmates wishing to attend. All memorials will be going to her son, Sean Miller, c/o Mary Ann Ernst, PO Box 297, Barnesville, Minnesota, 56514.

  1. Although I haven’t spoken to each other in many years, I had many good times with her. My prayers are with her family.

  2. I’m so sorry… Lauree always had the brightest smile and she had a contagious laugh. So difficult to lose someone so young… May God comfort you with his peace during this time.
