LaVon Schaffer passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Sanford Health, Fargo. She was born to Albert and Edna (Lehr) Goebel in Lehr, ND on January 13, 1935.
She attended Lehr High School, graduating in 1953. She had a love for music and enjoyed playing piano.
LaVon married Clarence Schaffer in 1956 and moved to Fargo.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clarence; children, Rodney, Shari (Steve) Bettenhausen; grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Paige, Cory; and one sister, Diane Schilling.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sorry to hear of LaVon’s passing. We were friends in Lehr Public School. She was a bridesmaid at our wedding on Sept. 21, 1952. She will be remembered as a friend and a talented piano planner. At this difficult time, we will keep the family in our thoughts and prayers.
