Lawrence (Larry) G. Monson, 97, Fargo, ND went peacefully to be with our Lord on October 13, 2022 while surrounded by his family.

Larry was born on April 7, 1925 in Fargo, ND to Gustaf and Tillie (Wiese) Monson. He served in WWII from 1943-1945 in the Navy on the destroyer, the USS Ross.

In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, biking, walking, fishing and loved making people smile.

Larry worked at Williams Brothers Pipe Line Company for 40 years. While working there, he made many lifelong friends with his coworkers.

He married Cornelia Weber in in Bartlesville, OK on December 30, 1950. He was blessed with 5 children.

Larry is survived by his 4 daughters Diana (Chip) Lyslo, Deb (Brad) Wimmer, Geralyn Monson, and Vickie (Jason) Gion. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Derek Lyslo, Brett Lyslo, Aaron Wimmer, Samantha (Jamie) Wahler, Haley Gion, and great grandson, Rhett Wimmer.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Connie, son Gary, brother Don, and his parents.

A private family celebration will be held to honor the life of our dad. His final resting place will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
