Leslie Claire Cose, 73, of West Fargo, ND and formerly of Egeland, ND and The Pas, Manitoba, Canada passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at home after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer.
Leslie was born in Bismarck, ND on December 2, 1949, only child to Lester and Violet (Dahlgren) Ladbury. Leslie graduated from Moorhead High School and went on to attend Concordia College, graduating with a degree in elementary education. Leslie’s career in elementary education spanned 37 years including teaching in Minnesota, Manitoba Canada, and North Dakota.
It was during her college days where she met the love of her life, Sandy Cose. They were united in marriage on July 2, 1971. Leslie and Sandy had two daughters, Jennifer Cose; Terre Haute, Indiana and Kimberly (Jeremy) Beich; Littleton, Colorado.
Leslie’s passions in life included teaching the little ones, cooking, and baking, doing crafts, visiting people, and her three grandchildren. Family and friends were often the recipients of her baked goods and craft projects, as this was her love language.
Leslie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Sandy; daughters Jennifer and Kimberly; son-in-law Jeremy; and grandchildren Landon, Spencer, and Brooklynn. She is preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Jean, and John Cose; one sister-in-law; two brother-in-laws; and several maternal aunts.
Memorial donations can be made in Leslie’s name to Ellison Cemetery, Rock Lake, ND.

So sorry for your loss. Heaven has another angel looking over us.
Our thoughts are with your family. Dave and Anita Barrett
Always the sweet, caring cousin, Leslie was a special friend to all of us during our growing up years.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Sandy, Jennifer, Kim and family. Leslie was a great person. I enjoyed the years we taught together and the fun we had. I will also miss Leslie when we come to Fargo. Leslie loved to ship and knew where all the deals were. I always had a great time when I visited. Leslie fought a hard battle and always looked on the positive side. She is now one of our angels and will watch over us.
So sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Very sorry for your family’s loss, Sandy. God bless all of you.
Heartbroken to hear of Leslie’s passing. She and Sandy opened their home and hearts to me in The Pas and their compassion and friendship have never been forgotten. Huge hugs of support to Sandy, Jen and the little Smurf, Kimmy. May your pain be softened by each memory of Leslie making you smile.
Love from Eric “from the Far East”
We were broken hearted to hear of your loss. Leslie was a very special person to all she met along life’s path. She had a strong will to live for all of you. She was very proud of her grandchildren and her children. She will be missed by us! We will treasure our memories of visits here and in North Dakota. Our thoughts are with you at this most difficult time.

We are sharing in your loss and are so sorry. We hold dear your Mothers memory and how kind she was to our boys Brendan and Drew when they had her in kindergarten and throughout elementary days. She was a wonderful teacher. We will always have kind memories of her.
Take care. Many hugs.❤️
Much loves to all of Leslie’s family! I’ll never forget once when she was visiting us at our place at Ralls Island The Pas and she told me she knew how to tap dance. I said show me. So she demonstrated! Wow what a routine! That memory of her and our trips to Saskatoon on ‘the bus’! I hope you all will find comfort that she will be remembered as a great person and please find comfort in the good memories!
