Liam Goff passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, at the age of 12, surrounded by his loving family.
Liam was born on March 29, 2014, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of Jacob and Nicole (Meyer) Goff. Liam was a fun-loving, creative, and energetic boy who enjoyed doing the things that made him happiest. He loved riding his e-scooter, playing guitar, drawing, and creating and writing his own comics.
He could often be found building with Legos and playing video games, especially Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer. Most of all, Liam loved spending time with his family and friends and simply hanging out and having fun. He was blessed with many good friends at his middle school in Mandan who brought much happiness to his life.
Liam was deeply loved by his parents, Jacob and Nicole Goff of Mandan, ND; his little brothers, Jasper, age 6, and Milo, age 1; his grandparents, Greg and Sandy Meyer and Nick and Kendra Leibold; his aunts and uncles, Tonia and Trinity Dale, Shawn and Mackenzie Meyer, and Joshua Meyer; and his cousins, Killian Dale, and Brass, Cohen, and Rowe Meyer. He will be missed more than words can express by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Furry Friends Rocking Rescue in Bismarck, ND.
A Celebration Gathering will be held at Signature Events in Mandan, ND, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM.

Grandma and Grandpa
Words cannot express the sorrow you must feel. I’m so sorry for your loss. It sounds like he was an amazing young man and will be dearly missed. Hold on to your many great memories and one another
Liam is my nephew’s best buddy. Together they shared so much joy and laughter. Our hearts ache for the family. May you all find peace and comfort in your shared memories.
My daughter, Kamryn, went to school with Liam- she really looked forward to lunch this last 6th grade year because of him. Kamryn would always talk about how funny Liam is and the things he would do at the lunch table that brought everyone so much joy and laughter. Sounds like he made sure everyone had a great time, even if he had to get into a little trouble to do it! 🙂
I never personally met Liam, but hearing the way his friends have talked about him, it would have been a privilege to know him and a joy to be around. I am very sorry for his passing and will be thinking of your family.
My heart breaks for you. Cherish the memories.
My deepest condolences to all who were blessed to have him in your life, cherish his memories ❤️
Even though we rarely see each other you and your entire family are in our thoughts. We are deeply sorry for your terrible loss. We hope you find peace in time and can enjoy the memories you have of Liam.
