Linda E. Davis

Linda E. Davis, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2026.

Linda was born on August 26, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Richard and Margaret (O’Neill) Whiteside. As a young child, she moved to North Dakota with her mother and brother, where her mother met and married Burnell Hendrickson she was raised and built a life centered on family, friendship, and community.

Linda married Larry Kensinger, and together they welcomed three children: Tammy, Todd, and Kari. She was a business owner and proudly operated Linda’s Beauty Shop in Christine, North Dakota, where she formed many lasting friendships through the years.

In 1995, Linda reconnected with her soulmate, Keith Davis. The two were married in 2003 and shared many happy years together. Throughout their marriage, they made homes and memories in Kindred, North Dakota; Buckeye, Arizona; Star Lake, Minnesota; and West Fargo, North Dakota.

Linda was a kind and generous person who never sought attention or the spotlight. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially reading, traveling, camping, fishing, and playing bingo. Her Arizona neighbors became like family to her, and she cherished the friendships she made there. Linda especially loved gathering with all her family and friends to play cards and board games, creating countless memories filled with laughter and love.

Linda is lovingly remembered by her children, Tammy Kensinger, Todd Kensinger, and Kari Dill; her stepchildren, Dawn Davis, Aleta Johnson, and Amy (Chad) Koller; her grandchildren, Matthew Dakken (fiancée Zoe), Jonathan (Amber) Dill, Jasmine Dill, Ashton Dill, Kylie Koller, and McKenzie Johnson; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Aubrielle Dill.

She is also survived by her sisters, Pat (Al) Otto, Joyce (Bruce) Hendrickson, and Teri (Jim) Anderson; her in-laws, Donna Blanchard, Duane Davis, Arlen (Patti) Kensinger, and Nolan Cowans; her cherished “partners in crime” and bingo/casino friends, Pam Cota and Jane Schwan; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Davis; her parents, Richard Whiteside and Margaret Hendrickson; her stepfather, Burnell Hendrickson; her brother, Bill “Butch” Whiteside; and her sister, Marcia Hendrickson Cowans.

Linda’s greatest legacy is the love she shared with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
