Linda Fay Wigdahl, 71, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at St. Catherine South Nursing Home, under the care of Sanford Hospice in Fargo, ND. Linda was born on February 11, 1951, in Moorhead, MN to Allen and Elsie (Dalen) Jacobson. Linda grew up in Fargo, ND, and graduated from Fargo South High School in 1969. While in high school, she began her 44-year banking career. During this time, Linda had clients that would wait for hours just to see her, as she enjoyed visiting and working with her clients to succeed in their retirement goals. Linda retired in 2012, from Bell State Bank and Trust. Her next endeavor was to spend several winters in Scottsdale, AZ. In the summer, Linda enjoyed her lake cabin on West McDonald, near Dent, MN. There she was able to relax, paddle boat, read her romance novels, and visit with the neighbors and friends. She loved to travel around the world with her friends to places like Hawaii, Spain, France, Switzerland, and Italy – where she was able to see the Pope in 2002. She also traveled to Las Vegas, NV to see Elvis Presley. Her pride and joy were her two boys, Cory and Travis, whom she talked about continuously to everyone. Linda looked forward to the fall season, as it was time for NDSU Bison football games, which she thoroughly enjoyed and texted her sons with every touchdown. We will miss her contagious smile and laugh. Love you mom! Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Allen and Elsie Jacobson, and her sister Lisa Jacobson. Linda is survived by her two sons, Cory (Brooke) Wigdahl, West Fargo, ND, Travis (Lindsey) Wigdahl, Las Vegas, NV, brother, Jerry Jacobson, Fargo, ND, two grandchildren, Dalton and Braton, and several nieces and nephews.
