Lloyd Oveson

Lloyd V. Oveson, age 83, Fargo, passed away Monday, June 20, 2005, in Bethany Homes, Fargo.
Lloyd was born in Davenport, ND, on March 20, 1922. He grew up in Davenport and graduated from high school there. He then served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was stationed in the South Pacific and occupied Japan. Following the war, he returned to Davenport, where he lived and also worked for Nokleberg Construction as a finish carpenter. He was united in marriage to Jane Reimer on March 2, 1961, in Las Vegas, NV. The couple made their home in Moorhead, MN, and then Fargo. Lloyd continued working for Nokleberg Construction. He later became an independent finish carpenter which he continued to do until his retirement. He entered Bethany Homes in 2004. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Jane of Fargo; and two sisters, Mae (Palmer) Anderson of Fargo, and Eileen (Donald) Braaten of Fargo.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Mavis Whiting Chapel at Bethany Homes, Fargo. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
