Lois Fleck age 88, of Fargo ND died Saturday May 13th, 2023, at Bethany on 42nd.

Lois Jean Fleck was born on September 16th, 1934, in Flasher ND, the daughter of William and Uma Erickson. She graduated from Flasher High School 1951 and worked at the Grant County Courthouse.

She was married to Joseph Fleck on November 21st, 1952.

They started their life together in Flasher ND and throughout the years shared many communities along the way including Carson ND, Scranton ND, Hettinger ND, Two Harbors MN, Graceville MN, Breckenridge MN, Jamestown ND and Fargo ND.

Lois’s journey raising her family started with her marriage to Joe in Flasher ND where they had their first four children Terry, Jim, Joe and Jeff. They moved to Hettinger ND where daughter Tammy was born. From Hettinger they moved to Two Harbors MN and then moved to Graceville MN to pursue the dream of owning their own grocery store J&L Food Market. They then moved to Breckenridge MN where Lois so enjoyed her time as an associate at JC Penny. They moved to Jamestown ND to be closer to family and eventually moved to Fargo ND upon retirement.

Lois’s heart and soul was her family and always wanted the best for them. She never missed an opportunity to see every activity and participate when and however she could. She was a true warrior throughout her life as she fought many challenges with her health but did so with grace and dignity showing all of us how love and faith can prevail through even the darkest times. She will be missed greatly but her strength and love will live on in all of us.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Fleck, 3 children, Terry (Kristy) Fleck and Jeff (Pam) Fleck both of Bismarck, ND; daughter, Tammy (Emmett) Page of West Fargo and daughter In-law, Judy Fleck of Wahpeton, ND; three grand children, Jessica (Matt) Siders of Fargo, ND, Jordan (Nikki) Fleck of Fergus Falls, MN and Samantha Page of Philadelphia PA; one great grandson, Owen Siders of Fargo ND; great grandson, Jack Fleck of Fergus Falls, MN; and brother, Donald (Crista) Erickson of Mott ND.

  6. Joe and Tammy; Our heartfelt condolences to you. Read the Obituaries and found a mistake, Donald Erickson is not Lois’s uncle, he is her brother. He misses her already. May the Lord open his arms and receive her ahead of Donald. So sorry for all of our losses. Christa and Donald Erickson

  7. Sorry to hear about your mom, Terry. When I saw the name Fleck with the Flasher connection, I knew it must be a family member. Although it’s been many years since we were neighbors in Minot, I remember conversations about family. Leon & I live in West Fargo, and not surprised to see your family spread across the state as well. Our condolences. (701-730-9624)
