Lois Johnson

Lois Mary Johnson, age 71, 2308 18th Street South, Unit I, Fargo, ND, died in her home on Tuesday, December 16, 2003.

Lois was born March 24, 1932 to Sydney and Mabel (Long) Baker on a farm near Langdon, ND. She attended grade school in Elkwood Township and graduated from Langdon, ND High School in 1951. Lois and Robert Johnson were married on October 3, 1952 in First Presbyterian Church, Fargo, ND.

Lois had many careers in addition to being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked for several years at NDSU Residence Dining Center. She later worked at Daytons until retirement.

She was a member in good standing and past president of the Moorhead American Legion Auxiliary Post #21, and was very active in the toy program. She was a member of the Moorhead VFW. First Presbyterian Church of Fargo was the place of worship for 55 years for Bob and Lois.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Wayne (Erna), Nevis, MN, Willis James (Kay), Fargo, ND; two daughters, Lori (Skip) Gooch, Nevis, MN and Jodi Tollefson, Rochester, MN; grandchildren, Derek (Aimee) Johnson, Brady Johnson, Robin Johnson, Emma Johnson, Laura Gooch, Lindsay Gooch, Christopher Gooch, Logan Gooch, Andreas (Cheyenne) Tollefson, Jennifer Tollefson, Katie Tollefson; four great grandchildren; sisters, Edna (Vernon) Hall, Burbank, CA, Lou (Randy) Giles, Salem, Oregon; and her brother, Sydney (Nancy) Baker, Lady Lake, FL.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Ron Tollefson; her brothers, Mervin, Willis, Harvey, and Albert; and her grandchildren, Patrik and Sarah.
