Lois Klein

Lois Lillian (Wentz) Klein of 2854 Edgewood Drive, Fargo, formerly of New Leipzig, ND, died Tuesday, October 5, 2004, at ManorCare Health Services in Fargo. Lois was born March 26, 1926, at New Leipzig, ND, to Henry and Margaret (Ganthner) Wentz. She attended school in New Leipzig and later received her teaching certificate from Dickinson State College. Lois married Ervin E. Klein on July 31, 1948. Lois broke from the normal homemaker and taught at various rural schools near Burt and New Leipzig, ND, as well as Shadehill, SD, and Bucyrus, ND. Lois loved working with children and helping them improve their skills. Lois also worked for Green Thumb at the New Leipzig Public School until 1994 when she retired due to health issues. In 1996, she moved to Fargo and has resided with her daughter Pat and son-in-law Norm until entering the nursing home in June. Lois is survived by her daughter Pat and husband Norm Weber, Fargo; her son Bruce and grandson Cody Klein, Scranton, ND; her granddaughter Leah and husband Kelly Lojka, Cheyenne, WY; Heather Beitelspacher, New Castle, WY; a sister, Irene Brester, Albany, Oregon; and special friend, Ervin Klein, Bowman, ND. Lois has numerous nieces and nephews who meant a lot to her, especially Carrie and Arlan Roth, Connie and Marvin Kallis, and Vern Klein. Visitation will be at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, on Thursday, October 7 from 5-7 p.m. Her funeral will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church, New Leipzig, ND, at 1 p.m. (Mountain Time) with burial following at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family wishes to acknowledge the special care Lois received from the staff at ManorCare Health Services. They became an important part of her extended family.
