A celebration of life for Lois M. Saewert, 88, Fargo, ND, formerly of Davenport, ND, will be held Monday, June 14, 2004, at 2 p.m. in Canaan Moravian Church, rural Davenport, ND. Visitation will be Sunday at Fredrikson Funeral Chapel in Kindred from 4-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Canaan Moravian Cemetery, rural Davenport. Lois died Friday, June 11, 2004 at Rosewood n Broadway, Fargo, ND. Lois Maureen Saewert was born September 30, 1915, in Chaffee, ND to Henry and Minnie (Schultz) Jackson. She attended rural grade schools and graduated from Casselton High School, Casselton, ND. She earned a degree in Education at Valley City State Teacher?s College, Valley City, ND. Lois taught at rural schools in Cass County with the last being Addison District 29 during which time she met Eddie Saewert. Eddie and Lois were married October 27, 1939 at St. Peter?s Lutheran Church at rural Leonard, ND. Eddie and Lois farmed in the Davenport area until moving to Casselton, ND in 1970 and lived there until Eddie passed away on June 20, 1997. Lois moved to Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo in 1999. Lois was active in the Canaan Women?s Fellowship, Davenport Homemakers, the Farm Bureau, and the Davenport Community Club. Her hobbies were painting and bridge. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren?s activities. Lois is survived by her son, John (Sharon) Saewert, Davenport, ND, and her daughter Sharon Nygard, Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Michele Jenkins (John), Edina, MN, Janel Gubeno (Jason), Mason, MI, Michael Saewert (Amy), Davenport, ND, Scott Saewert (Penny), Durbin, ND; and her great-grandchildren, Brock Saewert, Benjamin Saewert, Elizabeth Saewert, Sydnie Saewert, Emma Saewert and Hunter Gubeno; her sisters, Charlotte Drummond, Bemidji, MN and Barbara Craft of Fargo, ND; sister-in-law, Norma Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Saewert; her parents, Minnie & Henry Jackson; and her brother, John Jackson. Arrangements by Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred.
