Lonnie Dean Schmidt, 52, died, Monday, September 6, 2021. Son of Linda Richardson and Gene Schmidt, stepson of Terry Richardson, father of Lonnie Stanley Ray Schmidt, ex-husband, and dear friend of Em Janes. Preceded in death by his mother, grandparents Ray and Dorothy Heier, Mike and Magdalina Schmidt, Aunt Diane Heier. Survived by his son, Fargo, ND; father, Grand Junction, CO; stepfather, Fargo, ND, stepsisters Samantha (Kevin) Romofo, Phoenix, AZ and Lisa Richardson, Las Vegas, NV; uncle Steve Heier, Horace, ND; Fred Schmidt, Mesa, AZ; Cary (Susan) Schmidt, Longmont, CO; Al (Candy) Schmidt, Ramsey, MN and Robert (Chris) Schmidt, Scottsdale, AZ and aunts Terry Roland Belgarde, Minot, ND; Pat Matticca, Beaver Falls, PA, Trudy Ness, Williston, ND; Sheila (Alan) Smith, Seattle, WA; and Chris Schmidt, St. Paul, MN and many cousins. Lonnie was a kind soul with a huge heart, he is greatly missed. Crash, rest in peace. We love you, Bud and Slick.
