Lorraine Kiefer

Lorraine Kiefer Fargo, North Dakota Lorraine passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2006, at Manorcare Nursing Home in Fargo at the age of 86. Lorraine Marie Stahl was born on June 5, 1920, the daughter of Charles and Agnes (Gooselaw) Stahl, in Fargo, ND. She grew up in Fargo, was baptized at St. Mary?s Cathedral, and received her schooling at Horace Mann Elementary and Fargo Central High. Lorraine was united in marriage to Philip M. Kiefer in 1952 in Fargo. They made their home in Fargo for many years. Lorraine worked for Sears and R&G Bootery, both in downtown Fargo and later for Hallmark. Philip died in 1985. In 1991, Lorraine suffered a stroke. She continued living on her own until she entered the Manorcare Nursing Home in 1999. Lorraine is survived by her dear friend and guardian, Christal Hutchison; several dear cousins including, Donald Gooselaw, James Gooselaw, Mary Jane Barsness and Margaret Cleem.
