Lorrie L. Caskey
July 27, 1963 ~ May 21, 2023
Lorrie Lynn Caskey was born July 27, 1963, in Bagley, MN to Gene & LaVon Caskey. She passed away on May 21, 2023, at the age of 59, from a long battle with cancer.
Lorrie was baptized and had her 1st communion at Our Lady of Victory Church in Shevlin, MN. In 1982, she graduated from Clearbrook High School in Clearbrook, MN. Lorrie married Fred Sundquist in 1982, then later divorced. Lorrie went to work for Nortech in Bemidji, MN for several years. After that, Lorrie worked as a home health aide for many years and took pride in caring for all of her residents. She was later diagnosed with M.S. and lived with her daughter Alex and her daughter’s fiancé, Danny, in Moorhead, MN.
Lorrie enjoyed anytime spent with her daughters, Amber and Alex. She loved her dogs Tiny and Marbles. She really loved her Mexican food. She loved getting her nails done. She thoroughly enjoyed phone conversations with her family and friends. She also looked forward to her Friday night AA meetings that she attended on the phone since they were held in Shevlin, MN and she lived in Moorhead, MN.
Lorrie was the kindest soul ever. She never complained and was always appreciative. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She had a bubbly personality and always made people around her laugh. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Mama was such a beautiful soul. Kind, generous. Funny!!! I can’t imagine having a better mom, or what life is going to be like without her.
Rest in peace mama, love & hugs

I feel honored to have known Lorrie way before Amber and Alex were born. Lorrie had an amazing soul, a bright smile and always a kind word to share. My hopes is that your memories and thoughts will help your family during this time of grief.
Amber & Alex, I knew your mom when she lived in the same apartment as I do in Barnesville. I would often give her rides to stores in town. Such a kind & sweet lady. I’m so very sorry for your loss of your sweet momma. Thoughts & prayers to you both & your family.
Mom has been through so much in her lifetime, she has been verbally and physically abused by men throughout her life (including my father) had a large array of health issues, had people take advantage of her over and over and never really had anything to her name.
Despite the hard life she lived she never complained and was always concerned about everyone else. Even on her deathbed she always asked “are you ok?” “What’s wrong?” “I’m worried about you!” Mom always wanted to share what little she had and was completely happy just to talk to friends and family. It was rare to see my mom down in her mood, or at least she rarely showed anyone when she was upset.
Mom you’ve been through so much yet you were so kind and positive. I know you didn’t think you were strong but you were the strongest.
Thank you for letting Danny and I take care of you, it was so great having you around everyday. Love you more than anything.
she was wonderful. the love of my life. i miss her terribly,
