Guestbook

  1. West Fargo ND
I met Luther a long time ago at the FMCT. We worked together on plays, costuming, sets and appeared together a couple of times. I am so sorry that he is gone and will miss his fantastic voice, his sense of humor and his sincere and helpful attitude for everything he did and everyone he knew. He will definitely be missed.

  2. Hudson NYLuther was a force of good in the world.
He was caretaker for my wonderful friend, Carla, his wife, for 20 years. I was always amazed at the absolute look of adoration on his face when he looked at Carla. They truly had a wonderful marriage and when Carla passed, Luther lost his rudder in life.He is with her now and I wish him peace.
    The curtain comes down.
Good by my friend. I will miss you.

  3. Rochester MN
I will always remember my years working with Luther at FCH. He was fun, entertaining, patient in instruction and with other personalities, and just oh so wonderful a person. So many stories, we all have our favorites, take your pick. I am glad I got to be a small part of his life.

  4. San Jose CAI’m sad to hear about Luther’s passing. I met him while I was helping with my sister’s Christmas show at the Concert Hall and when it was done he offered me a job. I worked for him for at least three years through high school. Luther was great to work for. There’s too many stories to tell here but I have great memories of working there. Condolences to his family.

  5. Elk River MN
This is sad news, indeed. Luther was like a part of our family since he lived with us part of the time to help with the work on our farm. We did a lot of soul searching together as young men. Traveling to Alaska together to work on the North Slope, to Montana to work in a cabinet shop, to Nevis to hang out and philosophize. These are among my many memories of Luther. He always had an interesting perspective to add to the conversation. As happens all too often our paths diverged and I had not seen Luther in many years. But, the memories will always be there. Good ones.

  6. Ruth Ann and David,
I am so sorry this condolence comes nearly a year after Luther’s death. I just found out and am so sorry. He was a gentle soul and a true man of the theater. I remember him as a young boy imitating Bill Cosby’s version of Noah off that iconic LP he had. My deepest sympathy. Sending loving thoughts and prayers,
    Debbie Gilbertson

  7. Eagle Bend MnGreatly saddened by the passing of one of the most endearing friends from my youth and young adulthood. With the passage of time we lose physical contact but the memories live on. Rest in Peace my friend.

  8. Deerfield ILI am saddened beyond all belief. Luther was always the calm, balanced, even-tempered anchor to my own excitable personality, and that’s what always made us such a good team in all the years we worked together at ND
SU’s Festival Concert Hall. It was an honor to have wokred with him and to know him. I know there are many who will feel his absence. Now that you’ve exited the stage, dear friend, I hope you’re getting all the applause you deserve.

  9. Moorhead MN
Where do I start? Shocked, sad, all the emotions that come with losing your friend, classmate, and next door neighbor. Saw Luther last summer at our reunion for the 1st time in years and had a nice conversation. I hope you as his family find peace and comfort knowing he is in a better place.
    Marty

  10. I knew Luther.

When I was in high school at Fargo South, he was our director for “Arsenic and Old Lace” back in 1979. He was kind and patient with all of us students. Though extremely focused, he made the production fun and was an inspiration to all.

Later in the school year, took some of us students on a field trip to see “Equus” at UND in Grand Forks, starring Donald May. It was an amazing performance and we were all greatly appreciative of his kindness.

Luther Fragodt was a generous, thoughtful and talented man and he will be missed.

    Rest in peace, sir.
