LuVay Karlins

LuVay P. Karlins, age 91, of Fargo, formerly of Webster, SD, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo. LuVay Nesheim was born August 31, 1913, to Louis and Marie Nesheim in Highmore, SD. She grew up in Highmore and attended nursing school in Mitchell, SD. She moved to Webster in 1941. She married Walter Karlins in Aberdeen, SD, in 1948 and they made their home in Webster. LuVay worked as a nurse in Webster, then moved to Aberdeen and then to Fargo to be close to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1970, her parents, and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Karlins of Portland, OR; her son, Nathaniel Karlins of Fargo; and nine grandchildren, Walter, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Joseph, Hannah, Ruth, Eli, Ella, and Abigail. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Webster, SD. Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
