Marcella Mjoness, age 78, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2004, at her home in Fargo. Marcella Anderson was born on October 2, 1926, in Traill County, Bloomfield Township, the daughter of Alfred and Maime (Johnson) Anderson. She grew up in this area and attended country school. After her schooling, Marcella worked for area farmers prior to her marriage. Marcella was united in marriage to Albert Mjoness on September 21, 1946, in Ada, MN. They moved to Hillsboro in September of 1949, where they made their home and raised their family. Marcella worked in Hillsboro at Sorum?s Caf?, Melting?s Caf?, and later worked as a cook at the Hillsboro High School. She also provided loving care as a nurse?s aide at the Hillsboro Hospital, and helped many families in the area with child care in her home. Marcella also worked for a time at the Hillsboro American Crystal Plant. Marcella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, but most of all, friend. She loved spending time with her family, especially her special grandchildren and great grandchildren. No one ever left her house hungry. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and was famous for her sugar cookies. She always made sure that everyone had something that was their favorite at meal time. Marcella was a devoted wife for over 54 years to her husband, Albert. He passed away on January 25, 2000. Marcella later moved to Trollwood Village Apartments in Fargo where she was currently living. Marcella is survived by her son, Gary (Nancy) of Moorhead, MN; her daughters, Susan (Jim) Bugge of Tama, IA; and Sharon (LaVern) Grundstrom of Drayton, ND; her nine grandchildren, Andy, Chris, Josh, Elizabeth, Lisa, Jennifer, Jim, Abbey, and Jordan; and her seven great grandchildren, Matthew, Cassie, Michaela, Brenna, Nathaniel, Sarah, and Ryan. She is also survived by her sister, Theone Mooney of Hillsboro, ND. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; and her brothers and sisters, Harry Anderson, Emma Manthey, Alphild Gouker, Thore Anderson, Alfred Anderson Jr., and Donna Jacobson.
