It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marchell Marie Moderow on Wednesday, October 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at her side.
Marchell was born on November 29, 1963, to Michael Wolf and Darlene Pavlish in Dickinson, ND. She was a cherished daughter, a devoted mother to her daughter, Amy Guzman, son, Bradley Moderow, and a beloved friend to many. Marchell’s kind heart, unwavering love, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all those who knew her.
Marchell’s educational journey led her to obtain a High School Diploma, which served as a foundation for the successful professional career she built. She worked for a while at chiropractic clinic in Illinois before living a short while in Arizona and finally returning to Fargo as a Director at the Village Family Services. Marchell displayed great expertise and dedication to the elderly, becoming a source of inspiration to those she led and worked with.
In her free time, Marchell enjoyed glamping, crafts, and cheering on her favorite sports including, football, RedHawks baseball and most importantly, Nascar. She embraced life’s adventures, creating lasting memories through her love for traveling to numerous places including Las Vegas and trips to the Casino. Marchell also loved a good Margarita and was a great sport at many different card games. Lastly, her love for animals was truly evident especially the love for her cats. Marchell’s infectious laughter and radiant smile could light up any room, bringing joy to those in her presence.
Despite her many accomplishments, Marchell held her family and loved ones closest to her heart. Marchell’s family was the center of her life. The time spent with neighbors, family, and grandchildren were some of the best memories she had. Marchell’s unconditional love and support resonated deeply within her family, and her memory will forever remain in their hearts.
Marchell is survived by her children, Amy (Philip Meyer) Guzman, Bradley Moderow; grandchildren, Abigail, Alex, Allie; fiancé, Chad Nelson; step daughter, Emily; mom, Darlene Wolf; brother, Kevin (Lisa) Wolf; nieces and nephews, Braxton, Jakob, Hailey and Madison Nelson Gira, Joe Nelson; brother and sisters in law, Jacque (David) Forsythe, Valerie (Diane) Nelson Gira, Camille Nelson, Sherry (Barry Day) Wrapp, Scott (Stacy) Nelson; her beloved cat, Oliver; very dear friend, Becky Johnson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Marchell was preceded in death by her late husband, Steve; father, Michael, daughter, Ashley; grandparents; brother in law, Doug Nelson; and her very loved cats, Ace and Sassy.
Marchell Marie Moderow will forever be remembered by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her generous heart, gentle soul, and vibrant spirit will continue to inspire us.

Oh Marchell…..we are going to miss you so much. The Nelson Family was blessed to have you with us these last 15 years!!

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Marchell and my heart goes out to you all during this difficult time.
Marchell’s maintenance of the Wolf Website and her dedication in keeping on top of the Wolf Reunion Picnic will be greatly missed…and on top of that, she was simply, a great and devoted cousin to us all.
Hers was a life well lived and her impact will never be forgotten. Please accept my heartfelt condolences, and know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Marchell, just when I thought we would have an opportunity to spend more time together, God called you home. You told me last time I saw you that you “were ready”. I’m so glad your suffering has ended. I bet your dad was waiting with open arms! I will miss you. As will all your family here. May memories of you comfort all those who love you. ❤️

Enjoy your wonderful time in heaven with all the grandparents, aunts, uncles and of course your cats that have passed before you. I know that a big party is going on for days. You fought a good fight but it is time to rejoice. Thank you for the memories. You will be missed.
