Aunt Maggie ❤️. Your smile contagious as your laugh ! Give Uncle Goby a big hug from me 🤗. Rest in Peace Auntie 🙏🏻.
Maggie and Morris(Gobey) where the best of neighbors. They were the stalwarts of the neighborhood, along with the Richardsons. Maggie and Gobey loved their front porch and would spend countless hours out there, in the summer, keeping track of what was happening on 9th street.
During the many days of my scraping and painting the white monster next to them…………it was always a relief to know that if i fell off the scaffolding, either Maggie or Morris where there to call the doctor.
I enjoyed visiting and talking thru the screen on the porch. She always invited me over for a beer, but i declined most of the time. Unfortunately as Maggie aged, her hearing diminished which made my short visits difficult.
Maggie was very opinionated, but that was okay by me. She was not afraid to tell you what she thought about any subject or person. If she didn’t like you…………..you’d know. Thankfully she tolerated me. It has been nice to see the Boys presence these last few years……….always trying to lend a hand for mom. Now that she’s gone, I/ we will really miss the “DOYLE” presence in the neighborhood. Rest in peace Maggie……………and when you see Gobey……..please say hi to him for me…………

May Margaret’s soul rest in peace.
Margaret Ann was one of my favorite people. I had the privilege of being her doctor until my retirement earlier this year. I looked forward to our visits and the stories she would have for me. Prayers for all who loved her.
Grandma,
It has been 2 months and 2 days only since you have been gone… You are very deeply missed.! I am wearing your red cardigan today because it is Valentine’s day, you always were so stylish. I am happy knowing that you are no longer in pain and enjoying all that paradise (heaven) has to offer. I am very fortunate to have had you in my life, we did so many things together and you taught me so much. Christmas Eve was always the best at your house. Homemade chex mix,
m and m bars, those little white cookies with the maraschino cherry in the middle are all some of my favorites. 37 Christmas Eves I got to spend there 🙂 You loved auctions, jewelry, antiques, reading the newspaper, playing bingo, Danielle Steele books, touring old houses, going to the lakes, your family, playing cards, going to casinos (Laughlin), getting your nails done and of course taking baths. You loved to go shopping and give people gifts. One year we went Christmas shopping and you picked out unique gifts for like 30 different people. You were impressed with how large your family had gotten. You would tell things as they were and I always will remember Grandpa saying ” Oh Margaret…” You taught me how much of an honor being a mother is and were such a wonderful great-grandma to Ryan. You came with me to my ultrasound for him and when you saw him on the screen you said “he looks hungry”. Haha. You loved to push food on people. I am glad that I took that last piece of chocolate when we were last together at Bethany. I will always think of you when I go to church since that was our thing and going out to dinner.
We are very excited about 609!
Love, Megan
