Margaret L. Beaton

Margaret L. Beaton died on the afternoon of March 12, 2009 at Jameson Hospital, Newcastle, PA. She was born on July 17, 1924, the youngest child of Joseph Meyer and Emma Chamberlain Meyer. Her brothers, John, James and Paul and her sister, Jane, called her Peggy. She was also known as Peggy to her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, James and John Meyer. Peggy attended the University of North Dakota. On June 26, 1948 she married Donald F. Beaton. The couple had four children, Patrick, Kevin, Brian and Maureen. Her husband died on March 6, 1999 and her son, Patrick, died on December 15, 2005. Peggy was blessed with three grandchildren, Adriana, Eduardo and Andre, born to Maureen and Marcos Lenza, and two great grandchildren, Marcos, born to Eduardo and Mariana Lenza and Phillip, born to David and Adriana Jimm. Peggy will be missed by all who knew her. She was small in stature and softly spoken. There was only one thing about her that was big: her heart. The Service of Incense (March 16th) and Funeral Liturgy (March 17th) will be celebrated by her son, Rev. Fr. Kevin J. Beaton, S.F.O. (Pastor of St. John Maronite Catholic Church, New Castle, Pennsylvania) at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo, North Dakota. Peggy will be buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fargo, North Dakota, next to her husband, Donald, and their son, Patrick.
