Marian L. Perhus passed away October 6, 2024 peacefully in her sleep with her children Linda Gjestvang, Brian Aldrich, and Rodney Aldrich present. She was 95 years old and under the care of Ethos Hospice and Sheyenne Crossings.

Marian was born February 20, 1929 in Foster County, ND to Philip and Geneva (Hewitt) Zimmerman. Marian grew up in Carrington, North Dakota, and lived in New Rockford, Kindred, and West Fargo over the years. Marian graduated from Carrington High School in 1947. Marian married Vance Aldrich in 1947. They had eight children together, and divorced in 1973. Marian married Leon Perhus on July 11, 1981. Marian was a long-time member of the Kindred Lutheran Church. She was very active in church activities and the community. Marian and Leon enjoyed traveling. They traveled extensively around the United States visiting family, as well to Hawaii and Norway.

Marian is survived by six children, Linda (Marlyn) Gjestvang, West Fargo, ND; Susan (Alan) Pollard, New York; Eileen (Frank Laska) Aldrich, Louisiana; Rodney Aldrich, Finley, ND; Jane Aldrich, Louisiana; Brian (Beth) Aldrich, Bismarck, ND; brothers Joel Zimmerman, Dean Zimmerman, Sam Zimmerman; sister Joanie (Zimmerman) Petersen; five step-children, Pam (Floyd) Whitaker, Rochester, MN; Pat (Sherman) Pladsen, Minot, ND; Sandy (Terry) Rath, Bismarck, ND; Keith (Terri) Perhus, Prescott, WI.; Duane Perhus, Ottertail, MN; 20 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 22 step-great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; 33 step great-great grandchildren.

Marian is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leon Perhus; first husband Vance Aldrich; two sons Roger Aldrich and Wayne Aldrich; three brothers, Alan Zimmerman, Paul Zimmerman, Doug Zimmerman; and two sisters Elaine (Zimmerman) Ferguson and Delores (Zimmerman) Stroh.

Prayer Service: 5:00 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Fredrikson-Boulger Funeral Chapel, Kindred with visitation starting at 4:00 P.M.

Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 11, 2024 at Kindred Lutheran Church, Kindred, ND with visitation starting at 1:00 P.M.

Interment: Perhus Cemetery, rural Kindred, ND.
