Marie R. Paulson, 81, Fargo, ND died Monday, February 23, 2009 at Villa Maria, Fargo. Marie Reck was born to Jacob P. and Molly L. (Lavey) Reck on October 7, 1927 in Jamestown, ND. She grew up on Spiritwood Lake, attended grade school at Fried, ND and High School at St. John?s Academy in Jamestown, graduating in 1945. Marie worked for Farmers Union in Ellendale, ND as a secretary. Marie met Donald A. Paulson in Ellendale and they were married on October 7, 1947. The couple divorced and Marie moved to Jamestown where she continue to work for Farmers Union. In 1960 she moved with her children to Fargo where Marie began her career with Avon Products. She was the Avon District Manager, accountable for District 488 in the Vikings Division which consisted of Jamestown, Valley City, Fargo and rural areas north of Interstate 94 where she managed over 175 Avon representatives and 140 territories. She also served on Avon?s National Panel and was active at the national level. She retired in 1992 after 32 years with the company. Marie also worked with Welcome Wagon in Fargo, a job that allowed her to do what she did best-meet new people and make them feel welcomed. Marie is survived by one son, Robert Paulson (Krystyna Krupa, fianc?), Moorhead, MN, and a daughter, Rene`e (Dick) Alsop, Fargo, ND, three grandchildren; James J. Alsop, Andrew Alsop and Bobbie Jean Paulson, all of Fargo, ND. Also surviving Marie are special friends, Marlys and Norm and the many Avon Representatives, too numerous to name. Marie is also survived by her very special companion and friend ? her beloved dog, Charlie. Marie was loved by many people and she will be dearly missed. Visitation: Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo, ND. Funeral Mass: Friday at 11:00 a.m., St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo, ND Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND. Memorials are preferred to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church
