Jesus took Marilyn Faye Lingen home on Wednesday, October 10, 2007. Marilyn passed on at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo with her family by her side. Marilyn Lingen was born to Bruce and Elizabeth (Waslaski) Williamson May 4, 1946 in Langdon, ND. She grew up in the Grafton, ND area where she graduated from high school. She graduated from Mayville State where she met the love of her life. Marilyn and Robert J. Lingen were married on July 1, 1967 in Grafton. She taught school in Grey Eagle, MN for one year. They moved to Stephen, MN where she taught for 3 years until the birth of her children. When her children got older, she returned to work. She worked in the adolescent group home in Warren, MN for 8 years. She worked as youth director for 3 years at Our Savior?s Church in Barnesville, MN. They lived in Stephen from 1968 until moving to Fargo in 2002. The love of her life was her family and her grandchildren. Marilyn enjoyed following sporting events through her family, and leading choir and singing in church. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was fun loving. God placed her here to love and serve others. She was a role model and mentor to many and loved by all. Marilyn and her husband, Bob, grew in love for each other until Christ took her home. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert, Fargo; daughter, Robyn (Shawn) Carlson, Dilworth, MN, son, Bryce (Nicole) Lingen, Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren, Bailey Carlson and Brenner Carlson, Dilworth, MN, and Brevyn Lingen and Brylee Lingen, Thief River Falls, MN; her mother, Elizabeth Williamson, Grafton, ND; and her sisters, Janet (Oscar) Lauzon, and Caral (Tom) Nix, both Valley City, ND.
