Mario Jesus Villarreal, 44, Fargo, ND passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Sanford Hospital. Mario was born September 25, 1977 in Moorhead, MN to Frank and Donna (Bolgrean) Villarreal. He attended St. Anthony’s and Shanley Catholic School and received his GED in 2004. He worked as a cook and manager at a few local restaurants in Fargo/Moorhead, though his passion was the work he did as a carpenter. He enjoyed his life at the lake. He also loved to fish. He was an avid bowler, loved shooting darts and watching and attending UND Sioux Hockey games and listening to music. He will be remembered for his passion for riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, and hunting. He is survived by his parents, Frank, Fargo, ND, Donna, Fargo, ND; children, Ellie and Benjamin Hanson-Villarreal, Gilbert, AZ, Morgan Gamel, Fargo, ND; siblings, Carmelita (Jake) Kroll, Little Falls, MN, Janae (Jordon) Filler, West Fargo, ND, Tyler (Melanie) Villarreal, Moorhead, MN, Marci (Jim) Silrum, Mandan, ND, Miguel (Lori) Villarreal, San Jose, CA and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesus and Maria Villarreal, Norman and Mildred Bolgrean. Memorial Service: 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo with visitation starting at 6:00 P.M.

  4. Our hearts are broken for what you all are going through right now. We have so many good memories with our nephew Mario. From him grilling for us, playing corn hole, horse shoes, and shooting darts in the Looney Bin at the lake. Finishing off the nights jamming to his favorite songs. Mario you will truly be missed and I know you will be watching over your family. Heartfelt prayers to you all.
