Marjorie Tessier

Marjorie Ann (Freed) Tessier, 74, Horace ND passed away on Friday, December 9th, 2011 at her home.
Marjorie Freed was born January 1st, 1937at Ulen, MN to William (Bill) and Alice (Steichen) Freed. At the age of one her family moved to Horace, ND. She graduated from Horace High School in 1954. After high school she started working at South West Fargo Bank. Marjorie married Clayton (Spike) Nesemeier in September of 1957. Spike died in 1962. In 1963, she married Larry Haugen and they moved to Minneapolis, MN. While there she worked for Republic/Northwest Airlines. After spending 30 plus years in Minneapolis, she decided to move back home to Horace, ND in 1996. On January 15th, 1999 Marjorie and Donald Tessier were united in marriage. Recently she volunteered time at Heirlooms in Fargo.
Marjorie loved spending time in her beautiful gardens on the farm, relaxing at the lake, and reading. She also had a love for running and at the age of 50 she completed a full marathon. Above all her passions, family and friends meant the most to her. Whenever there was event of any kind she was always present.
Marjorie is survived by her loving husband Donald, her son David Haugen, Hugo, MN, daughter Nancy Pelton, Fargo, ND, son Tom (Teri) Haugen, Stacy, MN, son-in-law, Reid Anderson, Burnsville, MN, step-daughter Dawn Marie Berndt, Fargo, ND, and step-son Dean Tessier, Silverdale,WA, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Emma. Sisters, Carol (Gale) Birdwell, Lewistown, MT, Wilma (Larry) Birdwell, Lewistown, MT, Vicky (Jim) Haaland, Dickinson, ND, sister-in-law Janet (Julien) Richard, West Fargo, ND and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Spike, daughter Mary Alice Anderson and brother Billy Freed.
Colorado Springs COHi Donald, The news of Marjorie’s death reached me in Colorado Springs, CO. I am saddened about your loss even though I didn’t know Marjorie. Please accept my expression of sympathy through this guest book.

She was a wonderful friend. We lived together in the 50’s and worked together. I will miss her so much, because I loved her so much!
Fargo Quite a loss. She will be missed. We are glad Harper was fortunate enough to meet her great grandmother. Our times with her will always be remembered.
