Mark Steven Leabo was born 8/22/59 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He passed away 8/23/24 at Sanford in Fargo, North Dakota, after being brought into the E.R. on his 65th birthday with health problems. Even though Mark wasn’t ready to go, his body was.

Mark got his GED and grew up in ND. He enjoyed playing hockey with his friends. In 1979, his first child was born, Mandy Kay (Dori Fugere). He then married Kelly Jo Thomas. They had 3 children; Ashley Elizabeth, Alexandria Ellen and Ralph Thomas. They lived in Grand Forks, Sioux Falls, and Fargo. Some many years later, he had another daughter, Samantha Joy (Jacqueline).

Mark was a salesman; he loved selling/designing diamonds. He also tried his hand in auto sales. 

Mark was preceded in death by; his father, Vernon Leabo, his ex-wife and friend, Kelly Jo Thomas, his daughter, Ashley Elizabeth; his son, Ralph Thomas and his brother, Kevin Larson. 

He is survived by his mom, Karen Leabo. His brothers and sisters; Terry (Denise) Leabo, Patty (Greg) Ingmansen, Jeff Leabo, Brent (Lisa) Leabo, and Margot Leabo. His three daughters; Mandy Haugse, Alexandria Leabo, Samantha Leabo. His grandchildren; Aiysha (Mandy), Jemma (Alexandria), Noah (Mandy), Isabella Ray (Alexandria). His closest and longtime friend; Sonny Foss.  

Mark Leabo was a free spirit; he danced to the beat of his own drum. He lived his life how he wanted to live it. Mark had a great sense of humor & made people laugh. He will be missed by many.

A gathering will be held at Liberty Lutheran, 1702 32nd Ave. S., Fargo, on September 13, 2024 from 5:30-6:30 with a brief service at 6:20 -Pastor Elroy J. Vesta

    • Sparkey Mark. I met you from Terry Ray some 30 plus years ago. You always brought a smile out of me. You were a very caring person to all.You always added more joy to everyone.It seem like you live life to the fullest. So grateful that T Ray had you as a friend too. Thanks for all the great memories. Give T Ray a big hug from me. You will be missed here but you will bring joy to T Ray and other that have already left. The family and friend of Mark my prayers will be with you. You have lost a lot in such a short time. We will met with Mark and others again. Penny and kids love you bro.
