Marlene Jordet

Marlene Jordet of Fargo North Dakota, passed away on May 5, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family. Marlene Jordet was born on September 22, 1943, in Amenia, ND the daughter of Lester and Ella (Sell) Johnson. She later moved to Fargo, ND where she met and married Willmer Nicklaus, they had two children Gary Nicklaus and Gail Schutz. They later divorced. She worked at Prairie Public for just shy of twenty years, where she was the queen of gaming. After leaving the world of gaming she moved to the Sheyenne/ New Rockford area to help her sister run the local bar restaurant. This is where she met her longtime companion Donnie Duda until he passed away in 2016. She then moved back to Fargo, ND with her daughter. Where she continued to enjoy family and friends. Weekends at the lake, Bison game days, Sunday football, and her Minnesota Twins. Marlene enjoyed going on trips with many of her family and friends. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Sister Phyllis Thomas, brother in- law Gordon Thomas, Grandchildren Joshua and Mindy Nicklaus, and her longtime companion Donnie Duda. She is survived by her son, Gary Nicklaus, daughter Gail Schutz, Sister Cherryl (Wes) VanDenEinde, Granddaughters Amanda (Lester) Erickson and Ericka (Darin) Barnett. Great-Grandchildren Paige, Lucas, Lilly, Lucy, and London. Her nieces Kim, Kari, Heather, and her nephew Derek. She will be deeply missed, as Marlene would say “ lets just have one more!” She requested a celebration so that is what we will do!
