Martin Kenneth “Marty” Baker was born in Upstate New York on May 27, 1949.

Marty moved to North Dakota in 2010 to be with Kyra Drake. Marty and Kyra were married on July 16, 2014, and settled down in Fargo. Kyra and Marty loved to spend time walking and playing with their beloved dog Gizmo “Baby”. Marty enjoyed playing bingo and cards or just hanging out with friends, especially if they were watching the Steelers.

When Marty wasn’t working at the VA, where he was an EMS for 10 years; he took a great deal of pride in helping Kyra around the house doing dishes or mowing. Marty loved his truck as well as attending car shows or just talking with Kyra about cars. Marty proudly served his country in Vietnam and was extremely grateful to the VA for all the care and support that he and Kyra received.

Mary is survived by his wife Kyra Baker-Drake; his sister, Laurene Garlow; nephews Lionel and Alex Garlow; and nieces Savanah Garlow and Laurel Booth.
