Mary Behlmer

Mary Ann Baker Behlmer, 75, Fargo, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2003, at Meritcare in Fargo. Mary Ann Baker was born to Henry and Carrie Baker on April 29,1928 in Lennox, South Dakota. She grew up in Detroit Lakes and Moorhead, attending schools in Moorhead. Mary Ann Baker and Norman Dale Behlmer were married in Moorhead, MN in 1949. They lived in Moorhead for a time before coming to Fargo and have lived in Fargo most their lives. She worked at Woolworth?s and J.C. Penney?s for many years, retiring from J.C. Penney?s 9 years ago. She was active in Campfire for many years and active in her church. Mary Ann was skilled in handicrafts, spending many hours knitting and crocheting. She loved playing with her grand children and great grandchildren and reading. She also raised many other children through the years in her daycare and will be greatly missed.
