Mary Jo Sorenson

mary sorenson

Mary Jo Sorenson, 51, of Fargo, ND passed on July 25th, 2023 at Sanford Hospital. She passed due to negligence, which led to medical complications.

She was born April 27th, 1972 and was adopted with her brother Bill, by Sharon and DuWayne Price. She is survived by her eldest daughter Melissa, her two twin sons Aaron and Steven, her brother Bill, and her mother Sharon. Her father passed two years ago, but DuWayne was a light in our lives as well. She left behind many friends, and her dogs Boo Boo and A.J. She may be gone, but her funny stories and jokes will live on. She will have a dinner fit for a king ready, and a comfy spot for us to hang out when we see her again. There is no way anyone could forget my mom’s humor and willingness to take the shirt off her own back for others.

Mary Sorenson will be cremated and a celebration of her life will be held August 9th to an invite only pot luck and bonfire. If interested, please contact Melissa Hollowell her daughter for details and location.

Guestbook

  1. Mary and I used to work at Hardee’s together and I was the first person other then Jeff or Mary to hold the twins so they would stop crying. Sympathy to all family and friends. RIP you were a blessing to all that knew you…

  2. Dear Family of Mary Jo Sorenson,
I send you my deepest sympathy. I hope it helps to hear Mary has been received into God’s loving arms. She resides with Him in Heaven. Her earthly struggles are no more. Rest assured. She is well. She and the Father love you. They wait for you in Heaven and will feel overjoyed when Saint Peter opens the door for you.

  3. Hello, Im Melissa, Mary’s daughter. I just want to say thank you for everyone that has donated to my mom and brother’s gofundme, and thank everyone for the kind words written here, sent as a message, or said to me in person at this time. My mom was a beautiful person, who often pulled the short stick in life. She is gone way too soon to bear. But she kept up her humor, her kindness, and her ability to be a good mother and friend despite everything thrown at her. The last couple years had been rough, but peace and safety is with her now. I was there with her on the phone with doctors and the friends and family that mattered, until the very end, and did my best to bring everyone comfort. RIP momma, you are loved and cared for forever.

  4. Mary was like a mom to me when my mom was not around for me in hard times I will miss her very much love u momma mary
