Matim Maciek

The service will be livestreamed below. Matim Maciek, Fargo, ND, passed away on November 5th, 2020 in his home peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with health problems. Matim was born on January 1st, 1965 in Sudan. He lived in Syracuse, New York, before moving to Fargo, North Dakota. He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church. Matim was a very prominent member of the Sudanese community and was often sought after for advice. He was known as a loving father and uncle. Matim is survived by his wife, Umjuma Mayol; children, Anyiwei, Aluel, Dawer, and Arop; brother, Bol Jongkuc, and lots of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jongkuc and Nybol Maciek. The family will be holding a prayer service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at St. John of the Divine Episcopal Church in Moorhead.
