Mavis Bradbury, 90, of Fargo, ND, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Riverview Place, Fargo.

Mavis Darlene Weishaar, daughter of the late Edwin and Marie (Kirschman) Weishaar was born on April 7, 1934, in Hosmer, SD. Her school years were spent in Aberdeen followed by attending the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis, MN.

Mavis married Philip A. Bradbury on April 16, 1953. They lived most of their married life in Grafton, ND, where they raised their children and then moved to Fargo, ND. Mavis was active in many organizations, church, bridge, and wherever she could give a helping hand. She also volunteered at Hospice of Grafton where she comforted many people and their families. She especially loved playing games and cards with her children and grandchildren.

Mavis is survived by her husband of 71 years, Philip of Fargo, ND; brother, Brian Weishaar of Lakewood, CO; children; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and baby sister, Joyce.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Red River Valley, Fargo, ND.

  1. Bradbury Family Oh sooo sorry about your loss and have lots fond memories of knowing Mavis. We spent lots time in Florida together – visited them both at their cabin and their home in Fargo plus they came to Fairmont, Mn. for our 50th Anniversary. She always had a smile on her face and was so easy to be with. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Marilyn Belseth
