Michael “Mike” Houghton, passed away in Fargo, ND on December 6th at the age of 78.
Michael was born on April 27, 1947 in Sacramento, California. In his youth, he was a gifted athlete, served in the Air Force, and was a police officer in Sacramento, CA. He later worked as a bartender and raised miniature horses in Nevis, MN with his wife.
His wife, Nancy, predeceased him in 2010. He is survived by daughters Megan (Ian) Saylor and Marcie Houghton, three grandchildren (Finn Saylor, Zoey Saylor, and Jessica (Dominic) Hillyard) and two great-grandchildren (Angel and Luna).

Just heard about Mike’s passing today. Jeff (Nancy’s nephew) and I and Katrina would go out to the farm and visit him and Nancy and enjoyed the mini’s they had and our time on our visits out there. Sorry to hear of your dad and grandad’s passing, he was a very nice man.
