  1. Condolences to the family. I’ll remember all the good years playing cards and pool. Good sport and a gentle giant.

    Sincerely Jerry @ Sue Black

  2. I babysat for Mike once at the farm. He was a handsome young man. So sorry for your loss.

  3. Thoughts and prayers are with Mike’s family. Many fond memories will be remembered from growing up on farms in the Grandin community, and attending school together. Our families were longtime friends. May the peace of our Lord be with you. Jan.

  4. This is Norene Reiten. As I am sure you remember, I lived with you in Fargo years ago!! So sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. I remember both of you well! I lost Doug this past July to cancer, he was also 71! My condolences to your family. Take care of yourselves!

  5. I was a classmate of Mike’s at Grandin and have many fond memories. Mike was a good athlete especially in football. He was the “pulling guard” who led the Eagle sweep that was responsible for many TD’s. For a big guy, he could really motor! I remember he was in band and choir too. Multitalented for sure. Fun to be around with great sense of humor. RIP big Mike

  6. Pennie, Keeley, Casey: KNOW we’re thinking of you – You’re fortunate to have so many wonderful memories of Mike / Dad. He’s in your hearts.

  7. Condolences to the Humphrey family. Mike was a student of mine as a 7th and 8th grade teacher in Grandin. Mike and the other students bring back wonderful memories of Grandin.

  8. Sorry to hear of Mike’s death. He was my charge with some babysitting when he was very young, life seems to pass on with years seeming like yesterday. My caring thoughts are of him and to his entire family.
