Michael Wichmann

Michael Paul Wichmann, 23, Moorhead, MN, formerly of West Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at his home in Moorhead. Mike was born March 14, 1979, in Fargo, ND. He grew up and attended school in West Fargo. He lived at Otter Tail, MN, for some time, and worked at the turkey plant in Pelican Rapids, MN. He then moved back to West Fargo, where he was employed at various automotive businesses. He also worked at the Wahpeton Auto Mart, and at the Ron Vellenga farm in the Fairmont, ND, area. For the past year, he has resided in Moorhead. Mike loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Dale Earnhardt. He also enjoyed fixing old cars, art, the RedHawks, and horses. He is survived by his fiancee, Jenny Vangerud, Fargo; his daughter, Arian Carlson, South Range, WI; his father, Steve (Tanis) Wichmann, Otter Tail, MN; his mother, Linda Wilson, Fargo; three brothers, David (Marsha and their children, David and Gabriel) Wichmann, Moorhead, Joey Wichmann, Otter Tail, and Tom Lerner, Fargo; grandparents, Marilyn Wichmann, Detroit Lakes, MN, Ruth and Jerald Kanwischer, Fessenden, ND, and Grace Hage, Letellier, Manitoba, Canada; and great grandparents, Lloyd and Erma Sodawasser, Courtenay, ND. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kenneth Wichmann and Lloyd Sodawasser Jr. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1 PM in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-7 PM in Boulger Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethel Moravian Cemetery, rural Leonard, ND. Arrangements by Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred.
