Milton D Murray, Fargo, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Villa Maria, Fargo.
Milton D Murray was born to David and Grace (Malarkey) Murray in Lisbon, North Dakota on July 22, 1921. As a child he had trapping lines around the Lisbon area in order to earn income for his family during the depression. Milton grew up in the Englevale, ND area where he attended schools, graduating from Englevale High School. He served in the Army in Italy during World War Two in the 10th Mountain Division. After leaving the Army Milton returned to the Lisbon area where he worked for Johnson Trucking until moving to Fargo. He worked for Dan Dugan Trucking and received an award for 28 years without an accident. He worked for many years at Wallworks picking up and delivering trucks and cars in a variety of states. Milton D Murray and Lillian Anderson were married in Lisbon, ND on October 15, 1949. After he retired they spent their winters in Casa Grande, Arizona. Lillian preceded Milton in death on August 21, 2008.
Milton loved hunting and traveled to Canada to hunt for Elk and Moose. He enjoyed living and fishing at his lake cottage on Lake Melissa. Milton was a long time member of Knights of Columbus and Kiwanis.
Milton is survived by his brother, Howard (Teresa) Murray and their 5 children and three grand nephews.

Broomfield ColoradoI think I could write a book about Milt and my dad (Walter Berger). I have so many fond memories of bar b ques, hunting, and maybe even having a beer or two with them. Milt was my god-father. I had just spoke with him around the middle of May informing of the passing of my dad. I will miss both of them very much, but I am sure they are having a beer and fishing together in heaven. God bless you Milt..I will miss you but memories will last forever.

For many years Milt and Lillian were good
down-the-street neighbors. Even after
moving to the retirement home, they
were regular attendees at St. Anthony’s Church and I was so glad to see them.
Lillian was always so generous with her
garden produce and as I pass their home which I do often, I am always mindful of
what caring neighbors we once had.
Tallahassee, FlordiaMilt was a good friend. I will miss him so very much.
