Naom Fae Schlenker, 87, of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away at her home on Monday, June 19, 2023.

Naom was born on April 17, 1936 in Crookston, MN to Sheldon and Lucille (Valley) Ahles. She graduated from Crookston Cathedral High School in 1954 and from Interstate Business College in Fargo in 1955. She worked in the office at Farnham Twine Sales in Fargo from 1955 to 1960. She married Arley Schlenker on October 11, 1958 in Crookston, MN and made their home in Fargo.

Naom was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, needlework projects, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fargo.

Family members include three daughters and one son: Julie (Jim) Graalum, Mike Schlenker, Beth (Mark) Fedje, and Mary (Jeff) Gryskiewicz; eight grandchildren: Michael Graalum, Amanda Fedje, Stephen Graalum, Justine Graalum, Matthew (Christine) Fedje, Donley (Marea) Gryskiewicz, Jon Gryskiewicz, and Tom Gryskiewicz; one great-granddaughter Evelyn Fedje; a sister Nancy (Bill) Michalski; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Naom was preceded in death by an infant daughter Linda Marie Schlenker; a brother Robert (Harriet) Ahles, a sister Patricia (Patrick) King, and her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo with visitation starting at 9:00 A.M.

The service will be live streamed on the funeral home’s website.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery North, Fargo.
