Norma Peterson

Norma J. Peterson, 86, Fargo passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Palliative Care Unit of Sanford Health, Fargo.
Norma Joyce Peterson was born October 3, 1928 in Froid, Montana to Odin and Nora Wermager. She graduated from Ada, MN High School in 1947.
She married Marvin Peterson on May 27, 1950. They owned and operated Steak House 59 in Mahnomen, MN for 23 years. They moved to Fargo, ND in 1977. Norma worked for several women’s fashion stores as a salesperson, which she loved!
Norma loved to dance, play bridge, play and watch golf and do crossword puzzles! She was always on the move and liked to “keep busy!” She had a wry sense of humor and she will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by two sons, Michael, Bemidji, MN and Barry (Paula), Lusk, WY; four grandchildren, Ellen, Ocala, FL, Hattie, Duluth, MN, Brendan, Portland, OR and Nora, Bemidji, MN; two great-grandchildren, Devin and Dillon, Ocala, FL; siblings, Helen (Duane) Malmskog, Flom, MN, Janice (Channey) Mickelson, Twin Valley, MN, Douglas (Rudy) Wermager, Lake Park, MN, Don (Jeanne) Wermager, Buffalo, MN and sister-in-law, Lola (Roger) Wermager, Cormorant, MN .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, sons, Danny and Gary; parents, Odin and Nora; siblings, Audrey, Harold, Thelma and Roger.
Norma is a treasure that will be missed.
Norma was the glue of the Peterson family!!

Norma was such a very nice lady. My sympathies go out to her family.
I loved Norma’s unique laugh and sense of humor. She was like a second mother to me.
I miss her so much. She was my “other Mom”
