Norman Gustafson Sr.

Norman G. Gustafson Sr., 78, Fargo, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at ManorCare, Fargo, ND. Norman G. Gustafson was born December 25, 1928 in Fordville, ND. He grew up on a farm near Hallson, ND where he attended school. He worked on area farms. Norman enlisted in the U. S. Army and served from 1948-1950 and was stationed in Panama. Norman and Geneva Carrier were married in Olga, ND on December 30, 1950. They lived in Park River, ND and moved to Fargo in 1954. He was self employed cutting iron for Fargo Iron and Metal Company and cleaning up railroad derailments. Norman enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, hunting, and especially spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Clara (Ackerland) Gustafson; sisters, Donna, Beula, Lillian and Pearl; and his brothers, Lester and Orvil. He is survived by his wife, Geneva; children, Betty (Mike) Sauvageau, Fargo, Norman Glen (Donette) Jr., Fargo, Bonnie (Rocky) Swanson, Moorhead, MN, Tom (Kathy), Fargo, Dave (Kathy), Fargo, Marty (Bob) Schaeffer, West Fargo, ND, Terry (Brenda), Fargo, Scott (Carol), Harwood, ND, Shelly (Sean) Finneman, Fargo; 20 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; his brothers, Donald, Idaho and Douglas (Janice), Fargo.
