Pam’s services will be livestreamed and viewable below starting at 7:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2026 and 2:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2026:
Pamela Sue Kruse went home to Jesus at the age of 76 on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Sanford Fargo Hospice House here in Fargo. She was born to Lilly (Soland) and Walter Lachowitzer in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota on April 7, 1949, and grew up on a small farm near Vergas, Minnesota. After graduating from Frazee High School, Pam moved to Fargo in 1968. There she met her beloved John. They were married in 1970 and celebrated 55 years together. They made their home in Fargo where they raised two sons, Scott and Michael. She was very proud of her family. She said that her two Grandchildren, Elizabeth and Mason are “My heart” and she cherished the weeks that they spent at the lake with her and John when they were children (from 5 years to 16).
Pam held a number of jobs over the years from Statistics Enumerator to Resume Writer/Office Manager for Kruse Business Services. John and Pam were “Star Karaoke” and they put on shows professionally (but as a hobby) for over 10 years. She was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was active in the women’s group, and a Stephan Minister/Leader for 10 years. However, most recently she attended at her son, Pastor Scott Kruse’s Rock Church of Fargo (Assembly of God). She had many interests and loved her life. Her immediate and extended family were very important to her, and she enjoyed the sibling and cousin reunions that she was part of. Pam loved nature, animals, flowers and butterflies (especially monarchs which she raised from caterpillars). She was the person to ask if you had a question relating to flora and fauna.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren: Scott (Inger Lise) and granddaughter Elizabeth of West Fargo and Michael (Mary) with grandson Mason of Burnsville, MN- sister Linda Augustus, Pelican Rapids, MN, as well as many (much loved) nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Darlene, Vivian and her brothers Roy and Glen.

So glad I got to spend some time with Pam with our fall walks in the woods by her old family farm. What a gem she was and will certainly be missed. She’s with Jesus and loved ones gone before her. Still sad she’s not with us all.
Dear John, Scott and Mike. What a wonderful blessing Pam was to me and to the world! Her compassionate and loving personality was a gift to all of us. She was not only a friend, but also a cheerleader, mentor and advocate! She was always willing to help, plan and carry through on projects and ideas that aided those who were less fortunate and to take on roles that were sometimes mundane and messy, knowing others might benefit from the effort. I’ll never forget the sound of her voice, or the brightness of her smile, especially when she welcomed others into shared spaces and community conversations. She was more than a friend – she was a sister who listened, shared, cared for and loved! She shared God’s love with all of us, and we are all blessed because of her honesty and willlingness to give praise to her Savior and Redeemer, Jesus. Thank you, John, Scott and Mike, and families, for sharing your mom and grandmother with us, our world is a better place because God blessed us with Pam. Blessings, Jan
