Patricia passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her daughter’s home, near Enderlin, ND, under the care of Hospice of Red River Valley, at the age of 76.
Patricia Ann Schmidt was born on June 3, 1946 in Millerville, MN, the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Jesinowski) Schmidt. She grew up in the Alexandria, MN area where she received her education and graduated. Patricia then went on to complete her education in Moorhead, MN with a nursing degree. She was united in marriage to Delmer Dobler on February 14, 1972, in South Dakota. Delmer proudly served his country in the United States Army and the couple made their home in Texas and Alaska, before settling back in North Dakota, where they raised the daughter in West Fargo. Patricia worked for many years for Sacred Heart Convent in Fargo as a nurse. After her retirement, Patricia and Delmer enjoyed spending time together and traveling.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Delmer of Fargo, ND; her daughter, Felicia Stangeland of Enderlin, ND; two beloved grandchildren – Alissa and Alexander Stangeland; special nieces and other dear relatives including – Linda, Sheldon, Kathleen, and Wynn.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Mary; brother, Leo Schmidt; sisters, Cecilia Schachtschneider, Aemilia Ellertson, Gertrude Fischer, Cordelia Gordon.
