Patricia G. Heupel

Patricia G. Heupel Fargo, North Dakota Patricia passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at MeritCare Hospital Palliative Care Unit, in Fargo, at the age of 50. Patricia O=Donnell was born on July 19, 1955, in Oakes, ND, the daughter of Thomas and Lucille (Quinlan) O=Donnell. She grew up in Berlin, ND, where she attended grade school. Patty later graduated from Edgeley High School in Edgeley, ND. Patty was united in marriage to Edwin Heupel on August 22, 1974, in Edgeley. They made their home in Fargo where she worked for Piggly Wiggly Grocery and later worked as a Nanny. Patty was employed by Target in Fargo for the last 26 years. For many years Patty worked in various capacities for the Area 6 Special Olympics. She is especially known for her contribution as a coach. Patty loved her time with Target and enjoyed organizing many volunteer activities. She also was very proud of everyone involved with the Special Olympics and all of the dedication to the organization. Patty is survived by her loving husband, Ed and her loving son, Jason, both of Fargo; her sister, Judy (Andrew) Mitzel of Anaheim, CA; her brothers, Mike O=Donnell of Aberdeen, SD; David (Tammy West) O=Donnell of Lewiston, ID. Patty is survived by many nieces and nephews and other dear relatives. Patty is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Lucille; and her brother, Jerome. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Area 6 Special Olympics
