Patricia Mae Kozojed, 78, Cummings, ND, passed away December 7th, 2010 in Wayzata, MN surrounded by family. 

Born October 13th, 1932 in Fairmount, ND to Adolph and Donna Theede, Pat attended high school at St. Francis Academy in Hankinson, ND.  She later attended NDSSS in Wahpeton, ND, and married James Kozojed on August 4, 1953.

Pat was very involved in the community, serving on various boards.  She was a member at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, serving on numerous committees and circles.   Throughout the years she wore many hats as a farm wife, but enjoyed mowing the lawn most of all.  She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jim and brother John, sisters-in-law Gladys and Leona Kozojed and brother-in-law, Tony Gilles.  She is survived by her two loving daughters, Denise (Alex) Kozojed-Plecash and Lisa (Matt) Clifford, grandchildren Austin and Jacob, and sisters, Audrey Gilles, Lorraine (Bill) Earl, and brother, Gerald (Sara) Theede and sister-in-law, Carol Kozojed, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.  

Memorial Mass is 11:00 am Monday, December 13th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro, ND, 503 3rd Street, 701-636-5981.  Visitation is 3-5 Sunday, December 12th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with a Prayer Service to follow at 5:00.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to either the Hillsboro Medical Center or St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

    My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. She was such a graceful woman. And yes, I remember all the times of driving past your place and seeing your mom out on the riding mower.

  3. Lake Park MnWe are thinking of you in this holiday season. Duane lost his mom last Christmas and it made the holiday bitter sweet. We always enjoyed our time with your mother. She was so proud of her family. We will be sending a memorial to the Hillsboro Medical Center. We wished we could have made it to the funeral..Cece Cotton let us know..but circumstances did not permit us to attend..we have 2 daughters in Mpls/StP area so would be great to visit you there sometime…Blessings to all…Duane and Lolly

    I was so surprised to read Pat’s Obit in the Forum and so sorry I wasn’t able to attend. That was such a fun time in our lives when Pat, Lorraine and I lived together in Fargo. Such a great gal and friend she was. I was in her wedding and she was in mine. My phone is 701-277-7218 Lorraine so if you have a chance give me a call. I’d love to see you. My sincere sympathy to her two wonderful daughters, and to Lorraine and Audrey too. Pat was so much fun and such a great friend. Its been about five years since I have seen Pat. Love you all, Donna

    Very sorry to hear about your Mom and my thoughts & prayers are with you all. I remember all the times we spent as kids out at your place and probably my first time snowmobiling. Your Mom & Dad were very special people in our
    lives. I feel bad I won’t be home for the memorial service or funeral since I’m in Arizona and won’t be home until the 22nd. Thinking of you.
