He was an avid reader and loved to read the Bible, the classics, history, and anything written by Louie L?Amour. He was loved by, God, his family and his friends. He bravely carried the cross of serious illness his entire adult life. Though a sinner, Pat believed in a merciful God, who is quick to forgive, when one admits that he is a sinner. The book of Psalms was a favorite of Pat?s. From Psalm 103 it reads ?My soul give thanks to the Lord, all my being bless His holy name?It is He who forgives all your guilt, who heals every one of your ills, who redeems your live from the grave?as a father has compassion on his sons, the Lord has pity on those who fear Him, for he knows of what we are made, He remembers that we are dust?.My soul give thanks to the Lord!? Thanks too, for all of the staff and residents of Cirrus House, and the good people of Prairie Haven Hospice. Patrick is survived by his mother Margaret L. Beaton of New Castle, PA; brothers: Fr. Kevin J. Beaton of New Castle, PA and Brian F. Beaton of Fargo, ND; and sister: Maureen Lenza of Butler, PA. Patrick was preceded in death by his father.
