Pauline passed away in her sleep on Friday, December 23, 2016 after she finally succumbed to a prolonged battle against bone marrow cancer, surrounded by her family. She had lived at home up until the final few days. She was born on April 27, 1929 on the family farm near Taylor, ND to Joseph and Anna (Wagner) Grasser. The family moved to West Fargo when she was in high school where she graduated in the Class of ’47. She married Daniel Joseph Cossette in November of 1947 and they lived in West Fargo for many years. Dan and Pauline worked for many years in the West Fargo School District and at the West Fargo Bank. Later, Dan secured a job with FM Casket Company and they moved to Fargo. Pauline worked at Cook Sign Company, Fargo Public Schools, and later bought the City Motel in Dickinson. After a couple years they sold the motel and moved back to West Fargo. Dan worked at Quality Bakery and Pauline and Shirley started making silk wedding flowers. In 1984, they opened C&L Floral in the Factory Outlet Mall and later Pauline retired. Dan and Pauline spent many winters in Apache Junction, AZ. They were married until his passing in 1995. She then married Leo Grandbois in 1998, and they lived in Fargo. The couple wintered in Apache Junction, gardened in the summer, canned in the fall, and worked on creating Christmas gifts for family members. They enjoyed playing Pinochle, visiting with friends and relatives. They also traveled to Alaska and Hawaii. Pauline was preceded in death by both her husbands; her parents; her sisters and their husbands, Ann (Ed) Schiwal; and Agnes (Ray) Cossette. She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Miller, Richardton, ND; and her brother, Robert (Vi) Grasser, Fargo, ND; son, Gary (Janice) Cossette, West Fargo, ND; daughter, Shirley (Jim) Linnertz, Fargo, ND; 6 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 5-7:00 PM with a prayer service following at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. The funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo with a visitation one hour prior. Pauline will be buried next to her husband, Daniel at St. Benedict’s Cemetery in Wild Rice, ND. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
